GW1 player wanting to play again. PvP question.
hi! ive got the first chapter and i was heavily playing PvP. Im considering on purchasing GWEN and plan on getting back into PvP. i mainly played GvG's and random arenas. would it be nessisary for me to purchase nightfall and factions to get any decent PvP out of it? i played mostly monk and mesmer in GvGs but i could play all the other professions very well. the only thing that worries me is that are there skills in factions and nightfall that are used alot in GvG or random arenas these days?
and one other thing that worries me is that GW2 might just be around the corner? id rather save my cash for GW2 if itll come out soon. but since there isnt any release dates yet. will it likely be 6months+ till it is released? does anyone think that a release date will likely be released soon after the release of GWEN? thanks! |

PvP can be pretty random with which campaign you need for a certain build, and you'll likely hit the "What?! You don't have that? *kick*" response if you don't. If you're sure that you don't want to get into PvE at all, you could buy the PvP packs, which unlocks all of the skills.
You could also just try to get into PvP again and see how often you hit the need for Factions/NF skills. Sometimes you get lucky with it. GW2 (next year) will for sure be released after GWEN. GWEN is being used to lead into GW2. You'll find more info in the press releases on the GW site. News Archive |
